Walking on a bright Spring day is great, particularly if it is Mother's day. That is unless it is in Fresno in the middle of a hot day. Fortunately, our neighborhood has lots of trees to help out.



Three generation of Duran's came alone for our walk. First, there was my 89 year old mother; then Sherri—Thing Two of our team; and Andrea—The Cat in the Hat of the team. Also my 90 year old dad took the picture, and finally there was me-Thing One. Our other daughter and son were back home, busily fixing Mother's Day dinner—BBQ'd Steak and Salmon. A meal which couldn't be beat.

We did a short walk of about a mile to our neighborhood park and back. We walked to find a tree to hug-more about this in another post. On the way back, The Cat, found a new use for our flag—to keep her Grandmother from overheating.
