Adventure 083 – Own an Island

Description:
Some people may call it only a rock. But to us, this was a small island in the middle of a High Sierra lake—at 10,400'. When we spotted it, sitting a bit off shore, we decided to own it. So Gary went out in this lake surrounded by snow to claim the island as our own. He christened it Betty's Island, in honor of our traveling companion. Fortunately for Gary, the sun was warm so he warmed up quickly.


Oh yeah, and we really do own this island, since we are citizens of the United States and this is in Yosemite National Park.
