Capture California

What is a YOLT? Well, you may have heard the term YOLO. Gary and Sherri think we can live again, not as James Bond, but as being reborn. Consequently, we are having fun in our life, after all, You Only Live Twice.

Adventure 191-Pitch a Tent

Capture California, the Game-2013
Adventure: 191-Pitch a Tent
Team: YOLT
Date:  June 4, 2013
Location: Lyell Canyon, Yosemite
Description:
Somethings you do not forget. Even 40+ years after my Boy Scout days, I still remember how to pitch a tent with a piece of plastic, some string and rocks. That is what Gray did on our three night backpack trip around Tuolumne Meadows. In this case, Sherri and a friend put up our tent, while Gary put up Sherri's poncho to sleep in. He ran a string across the top. Then draped the poncho over it. At the four corners he put in stakes and then set rocks on the edges to keep the flaps down. Volia! A tent!

The next couple of nights we were in Vogelsang. He put up another rendition of his poncho tent up there—this time without strings.
