A fun little Welcome Center-definitely not very busy. With our parents waiting in the car, all which we really had time for was to hug a guy on a bench and take a picture.

Description:
We thought we would be coming back via I-15, but our GPS said to come up I-5. So when we came through Oceanside, we saw the Welcome Center sign for Occeanside. So we stopped on our travel back to Northern California. The staff was very helpful, showing us where other Welcome Centers are and other things we could have done in Southern California.

Guess this makes up for the Welcome Center we missed in Alpine when we took Gary's cousin up there.

Description:
The Yreka Welcome Center is different than other Welcome Centers which we have visited. A lot of them are in malls or redone transportation centers. The one outside of Yreka is not on commercial property, but at a roadside rest stop. So it is at a place which travelers naturally go to for refreshment and care. This is great. The only downside is we got in a little after five, a few minutes after it closed.

So after being refreshed, we continued along our way.

Description:
As we continue our way north to Oregon, after stopping in Red Bluff, we came across a Welcome Center in Anderson, CA. So we did stop to get a picture. Then continued on down the road to a resturant for a bit to eat. Another place to visit when we did not need to get someplace distant quickly.

Description:
Coming back into California, we stop at the Barstow Welcome Center. It is a bit hard to find, but following the signs, we make it to the Tanger Outlet Center where we find the place. We walk in and grab some brochures for future use. Then it is on our way for our three-plus hour drive to Fresno. Not a bad place to stop and be informed of the area.
