Adventure 215, Park 12-Pacheco State Park

Sherri at Pacheco State Park
Capture California, the Game-2013
Adventure: 215, Park 12-Pacheco State Park
Team: YOLT
Date:  October 28, 2013
Location: Pacheco Pass
Description:
Last year we discovered Pacheco Pass State Park.We did several hikes in the area and enjoyed the foothills of the Coastal Range. This area was part of Pacheco Ranch, until the family gave the land over to the State to preserve, with the family able to still ranch the area.
With the rolling hills, the oaks spread across the hills and the grasses, during the Fall and Spring you get this refreshing stop along 152. Even during the summer, as long as it is not in the middle of the afternoon, you can usually get a nice breeze blowing through. Then like an evening like today, we got to enjoy a hike where three deer bounded across our trail.

Adventure: 215, Park 11-Henry Coe State Park
Team: YOLT
Date:  October 28, 2013
Location: Off of Highway 152
Description:
Henry Coe is a park with a history with us. It is where the Sierra Club took its people after a mountaineering class 45 years ago. It is where Gary first took Sherri backpacking, along with a group of friends. This is where our daughter hiked and caught a bad case of poison oak.
So on our way back to Fresno from being with Gary's parents, we stopped in to see what we could see. Well the Bell Station entrance is closed. So we can only look in. We will come back another day.

With the sun starting to set and us wanting and see a couple of things at San Simeon and Cambria, we could only stop and think about some past hikes and falls we had seen at Limekiln.
