Description:
Lake Shasta is someplace which we have missed both last year and this year. We have gone past it along I-5, but because of the circumstances, we could not stop. So all which we could do is take a picture and hope that the next time we pass this way, we will have the opportunity to enjoy. Maybe next time there will even be water in the lake.

Description:

With a snow capped mountain resisting melting effects of summer; with a deep blue lake invitingly cold, you know that it Hasta be Shasta. (Apologizes to the Shasta Soda Pop company.)



On our way back from Victoria, we came down I-5. And low and behold, there was Mt. Shasta looming up in front of us, its peak hidden in the clouds. Even with it partially hidden, the view is majestic. You can understand how the Native American mysticism would evolve around this mountain.

Then after a couple of hours, and a stop for lunch, we came across Shasta Lake. This lake seemed to go on forever.



We will definitely come back here someday.
