Sometimes you have to accept what you can get. This is the case with Mt. Shasta. This very vista point gave a great view of Mt Shasta last year. But this year? Nothing but smoke. It was not until much later did we even get to see a brief outline of Mt Shasta. Where did this smoke come from you might ask? From close to where we came from—Glendale Oregon where the Douglas complex of fires were burning. There had been about 100 wildfires ignited by lightening during the past couple of days.
