What is a YOLT? Well, you may have heard the term YOLO. Gary and Sherri think we can live again, not as James Bond, but as being reborn. Consequently, we are having fun in our life, after all, You Only Live Twice.

Adventure 003, Site 044 – Old Fresno Unified School District Building

Capture California, the Game-2013
Adventure: 003, Site 044 – Old Fresno Unified School District Building
Local Registry ID: 53

Team: YOLT
Date:  September 5, 2013
Location:
Address: 2348 Mariposa Mall, Fresno

Description:
Date Built: 1936
Architect: Franklin and Krump

This Dutch Modern International style building was home to Sherri's and Gary's previous employee, Fresno Unified School District, between 1937 and 1975. Gary was hired by the District in 1978, so he just missed the big move. The building plays a part in the local history because there was a large push for public projects during the Great Depression—this building was one of them. It currently houses several departments with the District, including the MultiLingual/Multicultrual group—some of us fondly call this building the M&M building.

As a note: this is part of the New Deal Walking Tour
