What is a YOLT? Well, you may have heard the term YOLO. Gary and Sherri think we can live again, not as James Bond, but as being reborn. Consequently, we are having fun in our life, after all, You Only Live Twice.

What can we say? Personalized service! And at the Governor's level at that. Well, maybe not quite from Governor Brown, but at least where he spent a good amount of time. Thing One and Thing Two were still traveling around Sacramento on foot. Up comes the Governor's Mansion. We see that there is a tour starting in 10 minutes at 1:00pm. So we say, lets do it. As it turns out, we have a personal tour, going through the mansion with the house. The tour was great! Complete with very punny comments—the first Governor who lived here was George and Pardee and his four pardee girls (say it out loud). This house was a fascinating look into the ties of each our Governors from George Pardee, and his pardee girls, to Ronald Raygun, oops, Reagan.

Our current Governor, Jerry Brown, has lived in this house. But not as Governor, but when his father Pat Brown was Governor. Jerry Brown lives close by in a loft.

NO. 823 GOVERNOR'S MANSION - This mansard-styled Victorian house was built for Albert Gallatin in 1877. Acquired by the State, it served as the first official Governor's residence, Governor George C. Pardee and his family moved in during November 1903. It was home for 13 Governors over a span of 64 years.
Location: SW corner of 16th and H Sts, Sacramento
