We continue on our 12 mile walk through downtown Sacramento, looking for historic buildings. Next was the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. While listed on the Nation Historic Registry, we cannot find the plaque for it, and later on the reference number on the registry does not appear. From one person's comment, at one point in its life, the auditorium was called the Vetern's Memorial Auditorium.
From Waymarking:
"The Memorial Auditorium is one of two venues that form the Sacramento Convention Center, and is located in Sacramento, California, USA. For many years the auditorium was closed and lay in a state of disrepair until it was renovated in the early 1990s. Since the auditorium was opened up, it has hosted a number of events, most recently the inauguration of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger."
