Adventure: 083 – Highway 40

Description:
Walking down downtown Fairfield, the US Route 40 signs were always right there. So we plucked a picture. But what it did was to make us a little more conscientious of US Route 40. This route was cobbled together from a series of existing roads. The part in California was not part of the original US Route 40, but part of a highway which stretched from San Francisco to Kansas City, called the Victory Highway. Such as where the Cat in the Hat lives, it is part of San Pablo Road. In Sacramento, we saw signs along Capital Ave. And then finally, in our visit to Auburn, there it was again.
