Description:
Date Built: 1900

There are many times in our travels where we are looking for something, in this case the Vetzer Winery, which did not have anything which even looked historical, when we come across something else. In this case, it was a little red one room school house. It even has its own historical society. This little school house was named after William Gomer from North Carolina. The land for the school house was given for a school house by Gomer's wife after his death. The original school house, built in 1857, was a dingy affair according to the State. But it was schoolhouse. Then in 1900, the original school house burnt down and the current picturesque structure was built. The building is now used a meeting place and a mini-museum.
