The Eagle Theatre was a very unassuming little building. Thing One
and Thing Two did not think it had so much history but who would of
known? It was the first permanent theatre to be built in California.
It was built in 1849 as a wood-framed and canvas-covered with a tin
roof and an earth floor. The structure was flooded in 1850. It had
an array of different “acts” for a rough Wild West crowd. The
theatre is currently part of the Old Sacramento State Historic Park.
It is rumored to be haunted by the original Owner. It was featured
on Ghost
Adventures.
