Adventure: 081
Team: Thing One, Thing
Two
Date: September
1, 2012
Location: Fresno Ca Vineyard Farmer’s Market
One of Thing Two’s favorite things to do on Saturday
morning is to go to Farmer’s Market.
Even before the locavore Craze in California, Thing Two knew about farm
fresh veggies and fruits. There is
nothing like a farm fresh strawberry or blueberry that was on the vine less
than six hours before. The vendors are
there to help you with recipes on how to fix veggies. Aside from the great produce Thing Two’s favorite coffee is at this Farmer’s
Market. Karen of Fabiano’s Coffee roasts
the coffee in the wee hours of the morning.
Of course her beans are fair trade.
There are at least 30 kinds of caffeinated and decaffeinated, flavored
and unflavored coffees. Of course you
can buy live plants, Honey from the Bee Man, Tamales from Casa de Tamales, hand knitted gloves and hand
painted art. So why would one want to go
to a grocery store when you can experience a farmer’s market? Not Thing One, Thing Two or the Cat in the
Hat.
